The registration for admission to pre-school begins in January as per notification by the Department of Education, Govt. of NCT Delhi.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF VERIFICATION / ADMISSION
- Self-attested Photocopy of the Birth Certificate of the Child issued by the Municipal Authority.
- Residence Proof: Self-attested Photocopy of Parent (s) Adhaar Card/ Voters Identity Card/Smart Card /Ration Card / Passport / Electricity Bill / House Tax Receipt etc.
- Recent Coloured Passport Size Photograph of the Child, Father & Mother.
- Proof to validate Sibling Applications i.e. photocopy of latest Fee slip of brother /sister studying in SMSSS, Prashant Vihar.
- Proof of being an Alumni of SMSSS, Prashant Vihar (X & XII pass certificates and mark sheets)
- Photocopy of Aadhar card of the parents (Both sides)
- Immunization Card/ Vaccine Chart
- Medical/ Fitness Certificate of the child issued by the doctor. Bring all documents in original as well
To ensure the safety of the students, the school guards are under strict instructions to not allow any unknown visitor to enter the school premises. A visitor can enter the school after verifying his/her details in the visitor’s register.
The student-teacher ratio in our school is 35:1 approximately. In addition to that there is a female attendant assigned to each and every class of Pre-School to assist the students.
Excursions are planned to enrich the learning experience and all children participate. For all excursions including sports, for which students leave the school, permission/consent notes are required. All notes for excursions and performances must be handed in two school days before the excursion date as this assists in efficient organization.
The evaluation of the learners is based on a continuous and comprehensive system of evaluation. The objective of the evaluation would be diagnostic, remedial, reinforcing and developmental. The focus of the assessment would be on testing the skill base of the learners in the course of their learning process. At the primary level, the students would be expected to study two languages (Hindi and English) and subsequently, from class VI to VIII the learners would study three languages (Sanskrit can be opted as a third language)
No, Half day leave is not permitted. You are advised to take full day leave in such a situation and avoid giving requests for early departure.
No, the canteen or any other tuck shop is not available in the school. We do not sell any food items on school premises. You are advised to ensure that your child carries his lunch pack every day to school
Late arrival is not allowed in the school. You are advised to keep the child at home rather than rush to the school, putting his/her security at risk.

Teachers are available for meetings with parents at mutually convenient times. Please arrange meetings beforehand, in writing or by telephoning the office to arrange a meeting if there are any issues you wish to discuss.
It is essential that you inform the office and the class teacher of any change of contact details relating to your child. This includes mobile numbers, emergency contacts and home addresses. This is particularly important in case of sickness or accident.
Prescribed medications only may be taken at school in the presence of the school doctor. Medicine must be administered by the School doctor only. Students requiring medication at school should go to the school clinic with a written request from their parents and a clinical prescription. Students should carry asthma treatment with them on all school activities Students are not permitted to keep medications on their person, in their bags or in classrooms. (Except Asthma puffers).
After being absent a written application is required when the child returns.
We consider regular attendance to be most important, but please keep your child at home if s/he is sick. Half-day leave is not permitted.
If your child has an emergency on the campus during school hours, your child will be seen and treated immediately by a school doctor and nurse. If necessary, your child may be referred to the nearest hospital emergency room with your consent.
All valuables (including mobile phones) should remain at home during school hours. Please do not allow your child to bring mobile, iPad or any electronic toys, games cards or any valuables to school. This policy helps to prevent theft, loss of valuables and playground squabbles.
It’s up to the consent of the parents to decide whether or not to send their children for excursions/performances. We actively encourage the students to participate in performances so that they can open up as well as gain confidence. School Excursions are a great way for students to team up with their classmates and discover new opportunities as well as places.
Frequent workshops are conducted in the schools which motivate students to follow hygiene and health care in their routines. Additionally, regular interactions are organized with doctors, dentists etc. to promote awareness & healthy habits.
The entry to the school is manned by guards at all times. Entry & exit of all visitors are recorded.
The school has a well-equipped medical room which is handled by a trained nurse to attend to any emergency and give first-aid. It also has a wheelchair and oxygen cylinder.

The School at all times gives first priority to the safety, health and hygiene of the. students and ensures a system of emergency preparedness.
- CCTV cameras are installed to keep a check & cover the entire premises
- Emergency Evacuation drills / Fire drills are conducted at regular intervals.
- The maintenance staff conduct general building upkeep and are responsible for periodic inspections of fire safety equipment.
- Fire exits are prominently displayed and explained to the students and staff during the drills.
- The school strives to increase awareness of risks, prevent injuries, address unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and assist and advocate for staff dealing with any building environmental issues by organizing workshops for students and parents.
- There are lady guards appointed at all the toilet doors on all floors. They are vigilant to all student movement in & out of the washrooms. In addition to this, there are lady guards present on all floors on corridor duties looking into & supervising student movement in the corridors.
- ID Cards are issued to all students.
- Parent ID cards & Escort cards have also been issued for additional security.
The documents that are to be submitted include proof of birth, proof of address, report card, and transfer certificate from the previous school.
We have a simple and quick admission process to ensure optimum convenience for the parents.

- We recruit only trained and certified teachers as per the policy of the education boards
- Only in rare cases of transfers or medical issues do teachers leave in the middle of the academic year. In such an event, we ensure that a trained replacement is available before the teacher leaves.
- Yes, we have an internal training programme for teachers.
- Teachers also undergo subject-related training as per the requirements of the board.
- The newly appointed teachers are groomed by the senior teachers to maintain quality teaching standards.
- Yes, we have a team of in-house counsellors comprising certified psychologists and school counsellors who help students dealing with learning issues, emotional and mental disorders
- Counsellors also regularly counsel students and parents on a 1-2-1 basis and conduct workshops and seminars with parents and students ensuring the emotional and mental well-being of the child.
- We have an Anti-bullying policy in place. Any cases of bullying reported in the school are attended to with utmost severity. Parents are informed and appropriate actions are taken.
- The child is referred to the counsellor for counselling if required.
- Students who are involved in bullying are monitored for any repeat offences.
